Sustainability process

1. Thematic focus

Given global trends in the food sector and demographic developments, 50% more food will be needed by 2050. It is important that we can produce food in a way that conserves resources. Proteins are central to human health. Therefore, ensuring protein production is essential for the continued existence and further development of humanity.

Bonafide's mission is to make better use of the resources provided by our oceans and thereby contribute to a sustainable food supply for the growing world population.

3. Positive selection criteria

Bonafide considers ESG factors primarily in the qualitative assessment of companies and the calculation of the cost of capital.

These factors include:

  • ESG scores
  • Principal adverse impact indicators
  • Alignment with the SDGs
  • CO2 emissions
  • Impact on biodiversity
  • Industrial risks
  • Commitment, capacity and track record of companies

4. Active Ownership

The fundamental aim of active participation is to drive long-term value creation in the invested companies by helping them to adapt to potential risks at an early stage and to identify and seize attractive opportunities

Selected companies are examined annually for issues that are expected to make a significant contribution to the return or sustainability of the companies.

In principle, Bonafide exercises voting rights for all companies in which Bonafide holds more than 1% of the voting capital.
